‘Night Rain’ Wraps In Los Angeles

‘Night Rain’ Wraps In Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California USA

‘Night Rain’, the latest indie thriller from Seasons & a Muse, the award-winning producers of ‘The Scarapist’, now On Demand, has wrapped and is currently in post-production. ‘Night Rain’ marks the second feature from actress, screenwriter, producer and director Jeanne Marie Spicuzza.

‘Night Rain’ is the story of a group of young indie filmmakers, headed by an actress and producer named Ava, who are unwittingly hired by their own stalker to make a movie about a famous unsolved Hollywood murder but soon find themselves the subject of their own terror. Spicuzza, who penned the screenplay, co-directed ‘Night Rain’ with Synthian Sharp ‘The Scarapist’. Shot at historic and glamorous locations, like the Millennium Biltmore Hotel and Pacific Dining Car in downtown Los Angeles, by cinematographers Jay Lopez and Henry Power, ‘Night Rain’ stars Jeanne Marie Spicuzza, Adam Lesar, Clarissa Thibeaux, Thessa M’loe and Mattia Chicco.

Other cast and crew include Guy Hoffman, Scott Javore, J.L. Forbis, Heidi Honeycutt, Michelle Kantor, Leslie LaPage, Jessaymn Prince and Amaya Spicuzza. “‘Night Rain’ is inspired by survivors and victims of violence… and [is] an homage to the Golden Age of Hollywood and indie filmmaking,” said Spicuzza. “It’s the first time in cinema history that this [particular] victim will be [truly] humanized.”

‘Night Rain’ ran a successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in 2016.  “The support [for ‘Night Rain’] has been overwhelming”, said Spicuzza, noting campaign contributors and corporate sponsors Besame Cosmetics and What Katie Did. “Gabriela [Hernandez, of Besame Cosmetics and Oscar-winning movie ‘The Artist’] really helped us get into the period. She even did a cameo in the movie. The title comes from my granddaughter, Amaya, whose name means ‘Night Rain’ in Japanese.”

Unit publicity for ‘Night Rain’ was handled by Deborah Gilels of LA Media Consultants. Luckett Media manages social media and branding. ‘Night Rain’ is slated for release later in 2017.

See Something Wrong? Have A Suggestion?

Though the Beta testing is well in the past, we at Max It are always working to improve the site, keep the gears oiled, and all around tinker to improve the experience for both the indie filmmakers that submit content, as well as the indie film lovers that drop in for their daily fix.

Just like suspicious activity, we ask that if you see something wrong, have a suggestion, or would just like to tell us just what you like or dislike about the site, you let us know.

We've a lot of things still to add (No Peeking Behind The Curtain!), but we want to make sure what is current online is working without issues. To do this each day we'll add more articles, tweak a feature here, remove a feature there. Just to keep things moving along in the right direction.

To let us know of anything, just click on Contact in the Main Menu at the top and give us as detailed a description of the problem, or suggestion and we'll do our best to look to see if and how it can be fixed, or added!

As always, we thank you for your support!
