Northbound Season 2

Northbound Season 2

Production companies Lullskull Ltd. and “A” Street Films, LLC are proud to announce that, following a very successful Kickstarter campaign with additional funds raised by Michigan-based businesses and arts organizations in September 2016 combined with the guidance of Los Angeles-based Executive Producer Gary M. Bettman, the companies went back into production and filmed the 4-episode Opener of the GeekNation Original SciFi/Survivalist Series ‘Northbound’ Season 2, November 29th-December 9th, 2016, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula region.

The core Lullskull Ltd. trio of Co-Creators/Directors Seth and Nathan Anderson and Producer/Writer Jason Hagen re-teamed with the Upper Peninsula, Michigan-based co-production company, Aerial Vantage Productions, as well as key crew based in and around the cities of Iron Mountain, Norway, and Marquette, to execute the 1st half of what is expected to be a very thrilling season of unique content on the GeekNation programming slate. UK-based ambient artists O Yuki Conjugate returns to provide haunting music and national brands, such as SOG Specialty Knives and Tools, Tru-Spec/5ive Star Gear and Buda, provide in-kind tactical and apparel sponsorship, while GoPro supports with the use of their Hero5 camera to cover key action scenes.

The 4-episode Opener was filmed over a 10-day period and took place in the cities and towns of Norway, Sagola and at the former KI Sawyer Air Force Base in Gwinn, Michigan. In addition to reuniting with the Michigan-based crew, the production also brought on numerous local crew talent, production resources and cast extras to help bring the larger locations and scenes to life. ‘Northbound’ is an arts and community-driven web series component to a larger universe known as the Northstar Saga.

This season will ultimately lead into an independent story line of new characters, plot and science fiction perimeters, which will be the feature film ‘Northstar’. The Andersons and Hagen are building the apparatus to make the entire saga in Michigan with a goal of not only giving back to the Andersons’ hometown of Iron Mountain, but igniting a sustaining arts movement that will contribute to regional economies. This story arc involves Alex’s (Nate Alwine) and his comatose daughter Crystal’s (real-life daughter Callie Alwine) recent assimilation into the Infinity Group, a pacifist community led by Justin Wallace (Mike March).

The new season will delve deeper into the mystery of The Cataclysm, an event that killed off most of the North American population in one day; and will also introduce a new crop of characters played by actors Phil Wentz, Kayla Kelly, Kaitlin Paupore and Joe Stevens. Events in Season 2 will force the Infinity Group into conflict with the Firewalkers, a rival survivalist group that has made illicit connections with a larger military faction calling itself Allied Command North America. ‘Northbound’ Season 2 episodes will premiere Spring 2017, only on GeekNation.

See Something Wrong? Have A Suggestion?

Though the Beta testing is well in the past, we at Max It are always working to improve the site, keep the gears oiled, and all around tinker to improve the experience for both the indie filmmakers that submit content, as well as the indie film lovers that drop in for their daily fix.

Just like suspicious activity, we ask that if you see something wrong, have a suggestion, or would just like to tell us just what you like or dislike about the site, you let us know.

We've a lot of things still to add (No Peeking Behind The Curtain!), but we want to make sure what is current online is working without issues. To do this each day we'll add more articles, tweak a feature here, remove a feature there. Just to keep things moving along in the right direction.

To let us know of anything, just click on Contact in the Main Menu at the top and give us as detailed a description of the problem, or suggestion and we'll do our best to look to see if and how it can be fixed, or added!

As always, we thank you for your support!
