Oroloro Entertainment Reboots MegaBall$

New York, NY, United States

MegaBall$, a comedy film about computer geeks the lotto and the Mob, has restarted its development. Thanks to our new lawyer and Co-Executive Producer, Hal “Corky” Kessler, we have completely reformed our offering, budget ($2 mil), schedule and all supporting documents. Oroloro will be officially announcing the reboot at the Toronto Film Festival 2016.

Carky joins the award-winning production team, which includes DP Dejan Georgevich, Production Designer Roger Ambrose, Costumer Rosemary Ponzo, Producer John “JB” Bruno and Script Supervsior Veronica Lupu; Casting Director Ellen Jacoby; to be helmed by writer/director Marc Baron, and co-director Joe Cirillo

When an OCD computer geek, determined to prove he can predict winning lotto results, uncovers his plan has been financed by the Mob, he struggles to beat the odds before his number’s up. Filming will take place in NYC, late Spring 2017. The screenplay ranked in the top 10% of 1,260 international entries of the 2015 Screencraft Comedy Screenplay Competition.

Written by Marc Baron while taking care of his mother during his last days, the story was inspired by a lotto sign near a Manhattan subway stop. Ellen Jacoby saids, “The script os one of the funniest I’ve read in long time;” Fred Caruso (production manager of The Godfather, stated “MegaBall$ has lots of potential;” Baron stated, “I needed to escape during a difficult time, so I entered the world of comedy.”

Marc Baron has been serving on the NY Board of SAG-AFTRA for over 9 years, and is the Shepherd (president) of America’s oldest theatrical organization, The Lambs. He was urged to write by Matthew Broderick and Dustin Hoffman while working on the film Family Business. Oroloro partner Jose Cirillo began his career when Mike Nichols recommended him for work in The Godfather; Joe later worked as an advisor to the Kojak TV-series, and became Telly Savalas’ personal assistant.

See Something Wrong? Have A Suggestion?

Though the Beta testing is well in the past, we at Max It are always working to improve the site, keep the gears oiled, and all around tinker to improve the experience for both the indie filmmakers that submit content, as well as the indie film lovers that drop in for their daily fix.

Just like suspicious activity, we ask that if you see something wrong, have a suggestion, or would just like to tell us just what you like or dislike about the site, you let us know.

We've a lot of things still to add (No Peeking Behind The Curtain!), but we want to make sure what is current online is working without issues. To do this each day we'll add more articles, tweak a feature here, remove a feature there. Just to keep things moving along in the right direction.

To let us know of anything, just click on Contact in the Main Menu at the top and give us as detailed a description of the problem, or suggestion and we'll do our best to look to see if and how it can be fixed, or added!

As always, we thank you for your support!
