Curse Of Mesopotamia The Number 1 Iraqi Indie Horror

Curse Of Mesopotamia The Number 1 Iraqi Indie Horror

Los Angeles, CA – United States

Curse of Mesopotamia, the first English language genre film out of the Middle East, featuring a diverse international cast, is available On Demand in the U.S. and Canada via iTunes & Amazon this August.

The advance of ISIS halted production in Kurdistan, Iraq back in August, 2014. With strong perseverance the indie film completed principal photography in April, 2015 in Jordan. The pre-release in Iraqi cinemas throughout November, 2015 was a success, scoring the #1 spot at the Box Office amongst the new releases, 2nd overall, just behind Spectre, the new James Bond.

Five strangers are brought together with only one thing in common: nightly visits by a Demon in a nightmare so disturbing it has affected their everyday lives. When their common psychiatrist suggests group therapy in a location similar to the place they keep seeing in their daily nightmare, US Army soldier and divorced father, John, is not keen to the idea. But when he realizes that his little daughter has started to suffer from the same night terrors, he joins the trip to Erbil in Iraq, Kurdistan with the psychiatrist and the other patients: painter Veronique, socialite and ex-porn star Amira, bisexual playboy Tony, and radical Islamist, Ahmed. Once at the old castle, dream and reality start to become one. John soon realizes that their arrival was not a coincidence. They are all reincarnations of key figures that played a role in 600B.C. during the revolution that made Kawa a hero and that is still celebrated to this day as the holiday, Newroz. The Demon has lured them back to change history and to stop Kawa. The brutal fight for survival starts, again.

See Something Wrong? Have A Suggestion?

Though the Beta testing is well in the past, we at Max It are always working to improve the site, keep the gears oiled, and all around tinker to improve the experience for both the indie filmmakers that submit content, as well as the indie film lovers that drop in for their daily fix.

Just like suspicious activity, we ask that if you see something wrong, have a suggestion, or would just like to tell us just what you like or dislike about the site, you let us know.

We've a lot of things still to add (No Peeking Behind The Curtain!), but we want to make sure what is current online is working without issues. To do this each day we'll add more articles, tweak a feature here, remove a feature there. Just to keep things moving along in the right direction.

To let us know of anything, just click on Contact in the Main Menu at the top and give us as detailed a description of the problem, or suggestion and we'll do our best to look to see if and how it can be fixed, or added!

As always, we thank you for your support!
