Award Winning Nowhereland to Premiere at The Grove

Written, directed and produced by Robin Bain (Paper Doll, Wishful Thinking), NOWHERELAND is listed as a “must-see” at the 2016 Independent Filmmakers Showcase and is on-course to be an indie film success story. NOWHERELAND tackles the very real issue of teenage prostitution as told through the eyes of 15-year-old, “Shara”, played by newcomer, JESSICA TAYLOR HAID. Groomed by her own mother to perform as a sex worker in the underbelly of Los Angeles, “Shara” struggles to survive in this dark world while addressing her own burgeoning sexuality with not only “paying customers”, but her young lover — a petty thief and drifter, “Jamie”, played by FELIX RYAN (Power Rangers Samurai, NCIS: Los Angeles). NOWHERELAND also features former adult film star, Tinslee Reagan, (now known by her birth name EMILY CHEREE), in the role of “Bridgette”, an underage prostitute whom “Shara” befriends while working in a Russian run brothel in Hollywood. As the face of the harsh realities of the sex industry both in the film and in the real world, Emily Cheree is the genuine article.

Since filming her role in NOWHERELAND, Emily Cheree has left the porn industry and started a non-profit, The Skyscraper Project, which is designed to provide support for fellow survivors of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. “It is very important that people of good will are informed and reminded of the everyday tragedy of sex trafficking and prostitution involving children. This great sadness must be exposed. With NOWHERELAND I have attempted to push the process forward towards righting this terrible wrong.”

See Something Wrong? Have A Suggestion?

Though the Beta testing is well in the past, we at Max It are always working to improve the site, keep the gears oiled, and all around tinker to improve the experience for both the indie filmmakers that submit content, as well as the indie film lovers that drop in for their daily fix.

Just like suspicious activity, we ask that if you see something wrong, have a suggestion, or would just like to tell us just what you like or dislike about the site, you let us know.

We've a lot of things still to add (No Peeking Behind The Curtain!), but we want to make sure what is current online is working without issues. To do this each day we'll add more articles, tweak a feature here, remove a feature there. Just to keep things moving along in the right direction.

To let us know of anything, just click on Contact in the Main Menu at the top and give us as detailed a description of the problem, or suggestion and we'll do our best to look to see if and how it can be fixed, or added!

As always, we thank you for your support!
