Benny Loves Killing Streaming 29th April-29th May

United Kingdom

Independent feature film Benny Loves Killing will be streaming for 30 days as part of the Spring Fandependent Films season. The film is currently available on both Vimeo and Indieflix, but this is a chance for people to see the film for free over a calendar month.

Benny Loves Killing is a psychodrama about a film studies student who seems to be doing everything she can to make life difficult for herself: she’s completing her thesis by making a horror film, which throws her funding into question, and subsequently spirals into a world of paranoia, theft, and drugs. Defying easy categorization, the film appeals to drama, thriller, and horror audiences. Featuring a tour de force central performance from Pauline Cousty which is both intense and subtly nuanced, the film focuses solely on female characters, giving powerful roles to Canelle Hoppé, Kristina Dargelyte, Kelli White, and Angela Schultz, to name but a few. If you’re looking for films with stronger roles for women, then this is the film for you. Benny Loves Killing is the first feature from Look/Think Films, who have focused very much on films about women, and films about filmmaking. Their films are produced on very low budgets, but the amount of thought and sheer love of cinema that has gone into each and every one makes them something very different from the norm.

Picking up a number of awards on the festival circuit, Benny Loves Killing has acquired a core team of supporters worldwide, all entranced by the claustrophobic mood of the film. To date the film has drawn comparisons with the work of Aronofsky, Cassavetes, Zulawski, the Dardenne brothers, and Abel Ferrara. Fandependent is a platform for Indie fans to discover the best in indie cinema, and provides a chance to support films directly, as well as to spread the word through social media. The Fandependent Spring season is your chance to see Writer/Director Ben Woodiwiss’ film for free for 30 days, to become entranced by the power of Pauline Cousty’s performance, and to see the UK psychodrama that broke all the rules. Tune into Fandependent Films from 29th April to 29th May to watch, support, and spread the word about this bold, genre-defying film.

See Something Wrong? Have A Suggestion?

Though the Beta testing is well in the past, we at Max It are always working to improve the site, keep the gears oiled, and all around tinker to improve the experience for both the indie filmmakers that submit content, as well as the indie film lovers that drop in for their daily fix.

Just like suspicious activity, we ask that if you see something wrong, have a suggestion, or would just like to tell us just what you like or dislike about the site, you let us know.

We've a lot of things still to add (No Peeking Behind The Curtain!), but we want to make sure what is current online is working without issues. To do this each day we'll add more articles, tweak a feature here, remove a feature there. Just to keep things moving along in the right direction.

To let us know of anything, just click on Contact in the Main Menu at the top and give us as detailed a description of the problem, or suggestion and we'll do our best to look to see if and how it can be fixed, or added!

As always, we thank you for your support!
