Award-Winning Getting Out Now Available On VOD

Detroit, MI.

Wilkes has fallen on hard times. He and his friend, Derek, hatch out a plan to pull off a robbery. While each are aware of their motives, they soon find out that everything on the surface is not what it appears to be. The consequences to follow are more than they were expecting. The picture was offered a distribution deal with Gravitas Ventures in early 2015 and was released in July, 2015 nationally on VOD and cable platforms. Come July, 2016 it will have a DVD release as well.

Since its release this past summer, this little indie movie has gained quite the recognition among the indie film community with all the publicity it has received through its audience and movie critics alike. Getting Out came to fruition when Nick Felice, after pursuing filmmaking for nearly fifteen years, wrote the script while residing in Missouri. He then locked in a cast/crew through a Michigan acting website and moved to Michigan, having never met the cast/crew before, to make the movie. The film was shot over fifteen days spread out over three months in the fall of 2013. Nick Felice has said of the project, “It is probably the most exhausting thing I’ve ever done, but was worth every second.”

Kevin Hartzman after winning his first award, Best Actor at the Universal Film Festival in Kansas City, 2014 – “I can’t believe they picked me. What an honor!” Jerry Hayes of the cast/crew, “It was a treat to work with such incredible talent. I hope everyone enjoys Getting Out as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Award-winning micro-budget film Getting Out now available on VOD! Getting Out was shot in the metro Detroit, MI area, however, writer/director/producer Nick Felice resides in St. Joseph, MO. The film was written, directed and financed by Nick Felice with a budget under $10k and has gone on to 15 festivals with screenings in Las Vegas, Detroit, Kansas City and Hollywood to name a few. It has also managed to rack in over 10 awards so far on the festival circuit.

See Something Wrong? Have A Suggestion?

Though the Beta testing is well in the past, we at Max It are always working to improve the site, keep the gears oiled, and all around tinker to improve the experience for both the indie filmmakers that submit content, as well as the indie film lovers that drop in for their daily fix.

Just like suspicious activity, we ask that if you see something wrong, have a suggestion, or would just like to tell us just what you like or dislike about the site, you let us know.

We've a lot of things still to add (No Peeking Behind The Curtain!), but we want to make sure what is current online is working without issues. To do this each day we'll add more articles, tweak a feature here, remove a feature there. Just to keep things moving along in the right direction.

To let us know of anything, just click on Contact in the Main Menu at the top and give us as detailed a description of the problem, or suggestion and we'll do our best to look to see if and how it can be fixed, or added!

As always, we thank you for your support!
